Tura, February 10: Meghalaya Chief Minister and South Tura MLA Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday held an MLA Connect programme with residents of his South Tura constituency in Tura, aimed at strengthening direct engagement and addressing local concerns.

Sharing details of the interaction on social media, Sangma said the meeting provided an open platform for constituents to voice issues and offer suggestions on a range of matters affecting daily life. Residents raised concerns related to road conditions, youth-related issues, and other local developmental challenges.

The Chief Minister noted that the inputs shared during the interaction were carefully recorded by the district administration and concerned line departments for necessary follow-up and action. He said the MLA Connect initiative has already helped resolve several issues and has proven effective in identifying practical ways to improve public service delivery.
Expressing gratitude to the people of South Tura, Sangma said the engagement reaffirmed his commitment to serve the constituency both as its MLA and as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, stressing the importance of continuous dialogue between elected representatives and the public for responsive governance.
