Aizawl, August 8, 2026: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Friday inaugurated the MadebyMizo Kiosk at 102 Humayunpur, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi, an initiative of the Mizoram Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (ZOHANDCO) aimed at creating wider markets for handloom, handicraft and other products made in Mizoram.

The kiosk has been established under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. ZOHANDCO is the State Nodal Agency (SNA) for the scheme in Mizoram and is also responsible for implementing its Marketing Intervention component.
Under the initiative, ZOHANDCO has already launched MadebyMizo.com, an e-commerce platform designed to market products made by entrepreneurs and artisans from Mizoram. The newly opened kiosk provides a physical retail outlet for products listed on the online platform, while also facilitating the fulfilment of online orders.
The arrangement will allow products ordered through MadebyMizo.com to be dispatched from the New Delhi kiosk instead of being shipped from Aizawl, potentially reducing delivery time and improving access to customers in mainland India.
ZOHANDCO is also working to establish similar MadebyMizo kiosks in Bengaluru and Kolkata, expanding the initiative’s physical presence beyond Mizoram and New Delhi.

The New Delhi kiosk covers an area of 750 square feet and was established at a cost of ₹71.41 lakh. Besides serving as a retail outlet, it is expected to provide greater visibility and market access to Mizo-made products and support local producers in reaching customers outside the state.
Following the inauguration, a Chief Minister’s Grand Dinner was held at Kidang Restaurant in Safdarjung Enclave. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Lalduhoma said Mizoram’s public sector undertakings (PSUs) had traditionally been a burden on the state government. He said his government had undertaken extensive efforts to reform and improve their functioning.
The Chief Minister said the recent progress achieved by ZOHANDCO was a significant indication of the changes taking place in Mizoram’s PSUs.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, Lok Sabha MP; K. Laltluangkima, Rajya Sabha MP; Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister; J.K. Dawngzuala, Chairman of ZOHANDCO, and senior government officials.
