Mangan, February 3: Winter Coaching Classes under the Chief Minister Mentorship Programme were successfully conducted across all secondary and senior secondary schools in Mangan District, aimed at providing academic support to students during the winter vacation.

The programme focused on strengthening subject knowledge, reinforcing basic concepts and improving overall academic performance through structured coaching sessions. It received strong support from Panchayats, School Management Committees (SMCs) and local communities, with residential facilities arranged at most centres to ensure smooth implementation.
Classes were conducted as per the prescribed timetable, covering core subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science and Social Science. Experienced teachers adopted interactive teaching methods, supported by regular practice sessions and systematic doubt-clearing. Sample question papers aligned with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination pattern were prepared by the Katalytic Charter Education Foundation, while weekly tests were held to familiarise students with board examination formats.
Special emphasis was placed on students requiring additional academic assistance, ensuring inclusive learning. Students actively participated in the sessions and responded positively, with the programme helping to boost motivation, improve study habits, build confidence and promote discipline, regular attendance and effective time management.

Officials said the initiative has played a significant role in enhancing students’ academic preparedness and is expected to contribute towards improved performance, with the objective of achieving 100 per cent results in the Class X CBSE examinations.
The commitment and discipline displayed by teachers during the winter coaching period were also acknowledged, highlighting their dedication, sense of responsibility and willingness to make personal sacrifices for the academic welfare of students.
