Nagaland: NH-702A Stretch Closed Temporarily for Road Construction in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, February 3: The district administration of Zunheboto has announced the temporary closure of a portion of National Highway 702A due to ongoing road construction works.

According to a travel advisory issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Satakha, Chumlamo Humtsoe (NCS), the stretch of NH-702A between Zhekiye village and Sukhai village will remain closed to all vehicular traffic with immediate effect till March 15, 2026. The closure has been imposed to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted execution of construction works between Zhekiye and Tizu Bridge.

In view of the closure, commuters and travellers have been advised to use the alternate Satakha–Xuivi–Sukhai route and vice versa during the period.

The district administration expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the public and appealed for cooperation from commuters to facilitate the timely completion of the road project, which is expected to improve connectivity in the region once completed.
