Participants marched holding the Salai Taretki Firal and raised slogans such as “Manipurgi Saktam Kaiba Yaroi” (Manipur’s integrity cannot be compromised).
People from Bishnupur, Kakching, Thoubal, Imphal East, Imphal West, Jiribam and several hill districts took part in the rally, along with thousands of internally displaced persons from various relief camps. Civil society organisations, local clubs and women’s groups also joined in large numbers, reflecting widespread public support for peace, harmony and a united Manipur.
A public meeting was held at THAU Ground where several leaders addressed the gathering. Raees Ahamed Tampak, General Secretary of the United Meitei Pangal Committee, called for peace and unity, stating that he was prepared to make any sacrifice necessary to safeguard Manipur’s integrity and ensure lasting peace in the state.

Earlier, COCOMI Convenor YK Dhiren said the rally was organised to convey the collective voice of the people on issues concerning Manipur’s integrity and future, reiterating the stand of “no compromise on Manipur’s territorial integrity.” He warned against any attempt to divide the state or undermine its unity, and expressed concern over continuing human rights violations, restricted free movement and the prolonged displacement of thousands of people.
COCOMI leader Athouba cautioned that continued divisive policies could further alienate the people, while All Manipur Kanba Ima Lup president Lourembam Nganbi said the rally was a constitutional and democratic expression of dissent. She stated that people had come out peacefully to reclaim fundamental rights and protest misgovernance and exploitation.
The rally concluded with a public convention, where participants resolved to continue collective efforts to protect Manipur’s territorial, social and political integrity through peaceful and democratic means.
