In a press release, the fraternity said the decision was taken after careful consideration of the prevailing situation in the state, which has witnessed prolonged unrest, instability and social tension over the past several months. The rally will begin at Tidim Ground, Kwakeithel, and conclude at Thau Ground, Thangmeiband.
The petroleum dealers stated that, as responsible stakeholders providing essential services to the public, they believe it is their duty to stand for peace, harmony and restoration of normalcy. They emphasised that their participation reflects a collective commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all communities in Manipur.
As part of the decision, all petroleum dealers across the state will halt daily fuel sales and related services for one full day during the rally period. The fraternity clarified that the move is not intended to disrupt public life but serves as a symbolic gesture of unity and collective responsibility.
“We strongly believe that peace and security are prerequisites for economic stability, public mobility and the ability of every citizen to live without fear,” the statement said, adding that the initiative aims to contribute towards creating an environment where people can move freely and communities can coexist peacefully.

The fraternity appealed to the public to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of petrol pumps, expressing regret for any hardship. It also urged both state and central authorities to take urgent, positive and effective measures to restore stability and ensure long-term peace in Manipur.
“The public has suffered for too long, and immediate steps are needed to normalise the situation for the safety, welfare and well-being of all,” the statement added.
