Shillong, August 26, 2025: The Meghalaya Cabinet has reviewed and taken into consideration the comprehensive Report of the MPSC Reforms Committee, 2025. The report outlines a series of short-term, medium-term, and long-term initiatives aimed at making the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) more transparent, efficient, and accountable.
The short-term measures include establishing multiple interview boards to expedite the process, implementing clear interview protocols, conducting conflict of interest reviews, and requiring asset declarations from the Chairman and committee members. It also proposes creating an annual calendar of MPSC activities, setting up a grievance cell, maintaining the confidentiality of question papers, and publicly disclosing candidate interview scores. Additional measures focus on preventing recruitment process changes mid-way, publishing candidate-to-vacancy ratios, and releasing answer keys post-exam.
