Tripura CM Manik Saha Congratulates Suvendu Adhikari on Bengal Oath-Taking

Kolkata, May 9: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari on taking oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s historic victory in the state Assembly elections.

Dr. Saha, who attended the swearing-in ceremony, described the occasion as a landmark moment in West Bengal’s political history and said it reflected the aspirations of people seeking change and development. In a message shared on social media, the Tripura Chief Minister extended his best wishes to Adhikari and the newly formed government, expressing confidence that the new administration would work towards the welfare and progress of the people of West Bengal.

Highlighting the significance of the BJP’s electoral victory, Saha said the outcome was the result of years of dedication, perseverance and sacrifice by party workers across the state. He paid tribute to BJP karyakartas who, according to him, worked tirelessly at the grassroots level despite numerous challenges.

“Today, the tears and sacrifices of countless BJP Karyakartas have found their voice. This is not merely an electoral victory but the culmination of a long and selfless struggle to uphold the aspirations of the people of Bengal,” Saha said.

The Chief Minister further stated that the formation of a BJP government in West Bengal had made the vision of a “Double Engine Government” a reality under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed hope that stronger coordination between the Centre and the state government would accelerate development initiatives and improve governance.

Dr. Saha also noted the symbolic significance of the swearing-in ceremony coinciding with the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. He described the occasion as the beginning of a new chapter for the state and expressed optimism that the new government would work towards realizing the vision of a peaceful, prosperous and progressive “Sonar Bangla.”
