Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Congratulates New BJP Government in West Bengal

Kolkata, May 9: Prem Singh Tamang on Friday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari and members of his cabinet following the swearing-in of the first BJP-led government in West Bengal.

Tamang said he was honoured to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed government, which was held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a statement, the Sikkim Chief Minister described the formation of the new government as a “historic moment” marking the beginning of a new chapter of development, good governance and progress for the people of West Bengal.

He expressed hope that the new leadership would bring peace, growth, empowerment and transformative opportunities across the state.

Tamang also extended his best wishes to Suvendu Adhikari and the newly sworn-in ministers, wishing them success in serving the people with “integrity and vision.”

The BJP formed the government in West Bengal after securing victory in the recent Assembly elections, marking the party’s first time in power in the state.
