Kohima, May 24: Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland, and Nand Kishore Yadav, Governor of Nagaland, have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Mrs. Khotuo-ü Liezietsu, wife of former Nagaland Chief Minister Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, who passed away in Guwahati.

In a
condolence message issued on Sunday, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio described Mrs.
Khotuo-ü as a prayerful and compassionate woman who kept her family united
through faith and love. He said she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother
who nurtured her family with humility, perseverance and care.
The Chief
Minister stated that she stood firmly beside Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu
throughout his long political journey and served as a strong pillar of support
over the years. He further noted that her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit
touched countless lives and left behind cherished memories among all who knew
her.
Expressing
condolences to the bereaved family, Rio said the family had lost a guiding
light and prayed that God Almighty would grant them strength and solace during
the difficult time. He also prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.

Meanwhile,
Nand Kishore Yadav, Governor of Nagaland, also mourned the passing of Mrs. Khotuo-ü
Liezietsu. In his condolence message shared through Raj Bhavan Nagaland, the
Governor said he was deeply saddened to learn about her demise.
Describing
her as a graceful and respected mother figure, Governor Yadav said her
kindness, warmth and gentle nature had touched the lives of many people. He
extended heartfelt condolences to Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and the bereaved
family, praying that the Almighty grant them comfort, peace and strength in
their time of grief.
Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu served as the Chief Minister of Nagaland in 2017 and remains one of the senior-most political leaders in the state.
