Aizawl, May 13: Mizoram Governor Vijay Kumar Singh attended the first convocation ceremony of SDGI Global University as the Chief Guest on May 12 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The Mizoram Governor, General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), congratulated the university for successfully organising its inaugural convocation and described the occasion as a historic milestone for the institution.
Addressing the graduating students, the Governor encouraged them to move forward with confidence and determination after building a strong educational foundation. He urged the students to uphold the values of perseverance, discipline, hard work and patience while pursuing bigger goals in life.
The Governor also advised the graduates to face future challenges with positive thinking and unwavering determination. He further appealed to parents to continue supporting the aspirations of their children so they could achieve greater success.
K. K. Aggarwal attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
Established on July 14, 2023 under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019, SDGI Global University is managed by the Sundar Deep Educational Society, which has been involved in higher education for the past two decades.

The society currently runs institutions in various fields including engineering, pharmacy, architecture, hotel management, law, education, commerce, management and polytechnic studies, with around 5,500 students enrolled.
The welcome address was delivered by Parsanjeet Kumar. The event was also attended by Mahender Aggarwal, members of the university governing body and parents of the graduating students.
