Shillong, May 4, 2026: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Monday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2026, with students delivering strong performances across all streams.

The overall pass percentages stood at 88.63% in Arts, 83.70% in Science, 87.49% in Commerce, and an impressive 95.23% in Vocational.
In the Arts stream, Meghashree Roy of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong secured the top position with 457 marks, followed by Joziah Daman Laloo (452) of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, and Nakisakahuni M Pakyntein (446).
In Commerce, Priya Ghosh of St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong topped with 458 marks, while Ankita Das (453) and Rishika Debnath (452) secured second and third positions respectively.
The Science stream saw Dechro M Marak of Don Bosco College (Hr. Sec. Section), Tura emerge as the overall topper with an outstanding 472 marks. Amos Chinminlun (470) and Vishal Rai (464) followed closely behind.
Reacting to the results, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated the successful candidates, praising their dedication and acknowledging the support of parents, teachers, and institutions in achieving this milestone.
The results highlight the consistent academic performance of students in the state, reflecting both individual effort and institutional support.
