Doimukh, May 5, 2026: The IX Edition of Arunachal Panorama 2026 commenced at Rajiv Gandhi University, bringing together a grand celebration of the state’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and unity.

Held from May 5 to 7, the festival is themed “Roots and Routes: In Diversity, We Rise as One,” highlighting the connection between tradition and progress. The event showcases the vibrant customs, music, dance, and art forms of various tribes across Arunachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu attended the event and described it as a proud platform where diverse tribal traditions come together in unity. He noted that it was heartening to witness the younger generation carrying forward the legacy of their ancestors with passion and dignity.
The programme began with a traditional “Deep Prajwalan” ceremony, performed in indigenous style, symbolising blessings from ancestors and the spirit of cultural identity.

The programme includes an inaugural ceremony and cultural parade representing various tribes, followed by traditional dance and music performances, exhibitions of indigenous art, crafts and cuisine, youth participation programmes and cultural competitions, and concludes with a valedictory function celebrating unity and shared identity.
Organisers said Arunachal Panorama is more than a festival - it is a cultural movement that connects the past with the future while strengthening a shared identity among communities.
The event is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from artists, students, and visitors, offering an immersive experience of Arunachal Pradesh’s heritage, unity, and evolving cultural spirit.
