Gangtok, April 17: A large number of women from across Sikkim participated in a rally supporting the Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhiniyam, showcasing unity and solidarity for women’s empowerment.

In a message shared on the occasion, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang described the rally as a moment of pride, unity and encouragement, noting that women representing constituencies from across the state had come together to support the landmark initiative.
He said the participation of mothers, sisters and daughters from various parts of the state reflected the growing awareness, strength and determination of women in Sikkim.

The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to all participants and praised the collective efforts of women advocating for greater representation and empowerment. According to him, the movement will contribute to building a more inclusive and empowered society.
Tamang also described the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhiniyam as a historic milestone in advancing women’s empowerment in India. He credited the initiative to the leadership of Narendra Modi and called it a significant step towards strengthening women’s participation in governance.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the movement would continue to inspire unity, progress and success in the future. He also extended greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of **Mata Tirtha Aunsi.
