Pherzawl, April 27, 2026: Pherzawl district in Manipur has received two new ambulances under the North Eastern Council (NEC) to strengthen emergency healthcare services and improve medical access for residents, particularly in remote areas.

The ambulances were formally handed over at the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Pherzawl, by Tipaimukh MLA Ngursanglur Sanate, along with his associates, representing the people of the constituency.
The newly acquired ambulances have been stationed at Patpuihmun Primary Health Centre (PHC) and Ankhasuo PHC, with the aim of improving emergency response and facilitating timely transportation of patients requiring medical care.
During the programme, Rev. Laldinglien, Director of the Mission Department, offered a prayer dedicating the ambulances for public service, expressing hope that the vehicles would serve the community effectively and reach remote areas such as Hmarram when needed.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ngursanglur Sanate stated that the ambulances were provided to ensure that residents of the district have access to prompt and reliable medical transportation, particularly during emergencies.
The vehicles are equipped with essential medical facilities, including a radiant warmer for newborn babies, which will help provide immediate care to infants requiring special medical attention.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve healthcare delivery in Pherzawl district by ensuring quicker response during medical emergencies and strengthening the overall healthcare infrastructure in the region.
