Gangtok, April 14: A preparatory inspection was conducted at Paljor Stadium on Monday ahead of the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sikkim.

The inspection was led by Chief Secretary R. Telang as part of a pre-visit recce to ensure that all arrangements are properly planned and executed prior to the Prime Minister’s arrival.

During the visit, officials reviewed the preparedness of the venue, including seating arrangements, accessibility, safety protocols and essential services to facilitate the smooth conduct of the programme.

Senior officials and Heads of Departments from various government departments participated in the inspection, focusing on infrastructure readiness, security measures, logistical coordination and overall event management.

Officials emphasised the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination to ensure that all preparations are completed efficiently ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
