Siang, April 14: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday laid the foundation stones and inaugurated multiple development projects in Siang district with a total investment of ₹196.44 crore.

According to the Chief Minister, the initiatives mark a major push for infrastructure and public service development in the district.
Among the key projects whose foundation stones were laid are accommodation facilities for government staff in Siang district, a Dere (community hall) at New Hiram Riga, a women police station building at Pangin, and a multi-purpose cultural hall at Pegging Botte in Riga.
Several education and infrastructure projects were also launched, including hostel buildings and academic facilities at GHSS Pangin, staff quarters for teachers and government staff, boundary walls for school hostels, and the development of township roads at Boleng and Pangin under the CMCSRDP-II scheme.

Additional road infrastructure projects include the construction of the road from Yibuk to Lising (Phase-I) and improvements to district headquarters township roads.
As part of the programme, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Pangin, a double-lane cement concrete pavement road from BRTF Rengo Road to District Hospital in Boleng, a 70-metre Bailey Bridge over the Subbung River on the Dosing–Pareng–Yibuk road, and a new fire station at Boleng (Rengo).
Officials said the projects aim to strengthen connectivity, education infrastructure, public safety and administrative facilities in the district, contributing to overall development in Arunachal Pradesh.
