The minor, identified as Pani Ruth, reportedly left her home between 7 and 8 PM following an argument with her parents. Family members said she became emotionally distressed after being repeatedly advised and scolded during the discussion.

According to sources, the teenager had been communicating online with an individual who allegedly promised to arrange a job for her in Mumbai. Influenced by the interaction and the tense situation at home, she decided to leave and attempted to travel alone.

She was reportedly planning to board a train from the Naharlagun–Gumto area to Guwahati and later continue her journey to Mumbai.

However, before she could proceed further, she was located near Tigdo Bridge and safely recovered. Authorities said the girl later realized the risks involved and decided not to continue with her travel plans.

Police officials have warned about the increasing threat of online manipulation and fraudulent job offers circulating through social media platforms. They urged parents to maintain open communication with their children and advised youngsters not to trust unknown individuals online without proper verification.
