‘Overall Situation Has Improved in Manipur, Safety of All Communities Our Priority’: CM Khemchand

Imphal, April 13: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand on Monday stated that the overall situation in the state has shown significant improvement and reaffirmed that ensuring the safety and peaceful coexistence of all communities remains the government’s foremost priority.

The remarks were made after Lt. Gen. Vikas Lakhera, Director General of Assam Rifles, called on the Chief Minister at the Secretariat in Imphal.

During the meeting, the two leaders held detailed discussions on the prevailing law and order and security situation in the state. The Chief Minister noted that the situation has improved due to the concerted efforts of the government and various security agencies working together to maintain peace and stability.

Khemchand emphasized that the protection, safety and peaceful coexistence of all communities have been carefully considered in the government’s actions, with necessary measures already undertaken to strengthen the security framework and maintain stability.

He further reiterated that the government remains committed to sustaining peace, fostering harmony and safeguarding the well-being of every citizen in the state.
