Upon his arrival in Phek, the Governor was received by district administration officials, security personnel, and representatives of local organisations. The civic reception reflected the district’s commitment to engaging with state leadership and highlighting issues related to governance, development, and public welfare.
As part of his visit, Yadav chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where senior district officials presented updates on the implementation of various government programmes and ongoing development projects. The discussions focused on assessing the performance of different departments, identifying challenges in project execution, and exploring ways to improve service delivery to the people.
During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the status of infrastructure development, public welfare initiatives, and administrative activities being carried out across the district. Officials briefed him on progress made in sectors such as rural development, healthcare, education, road connectivity, water supply, and other government-sponsored schemes aimed at improving the quality of life of residents.
Emphasizing the importance of effective governance, the Governor urged officials to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the implementation of development programmes. He stressed that government schemes should reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely manner and that administrative machinery must remain responsive to the needs and concerns of the public.
A significant part of the Governor’s visit involved interactions with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. During these engagements, he listened to firsthand accounts from citizens who have benefited from government initiatives. Beneficiaries shared their experiences regarding programmes related to housing, livelihood support, healthcare, education, and other social welfare measures.
The Governor also encouraged participants to provide honest feedback on the implementation of these schemes, noting that such interactions help authorities understand the impact of government policies at the grassroots level. He emphasized that public feedback plays an important role in improving governance and ensuring that development initiatives effectively address local needs.
