CM Conrad Sangma Inaugurates Block Integrated Development Complex in Nongstoin

Nongstoin, April 15: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated the Block Integrated Development Complex of the Nongstoin Community and Rural Development (C&RD) Block in West Khasi Hills District.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that strengthening grassroots administration remains a key priority for the government as it works to make governance more accessible, responsive, and people-centric.

Sangma said the state government has invested around ₹200 crore to upgrade block offices across 46 blocks, while 10 new blocks have also been sanctioned and will be completed over the coming years.

He noted that the upgraded facilities are expected to improve service delivery and enhance the government’s outreach to communities across Meghalaya.

The Chief Minister also stressed that while infrastructure development is important, the commitment and dedication of government officers and staff will play a crucial role in ensuring that these institutions effectively serve the people and make a lasting impact on society.
