Manipur Govt Committed to Citizens’ Safety Amid Ongoing Crisis, Says CM Khemchand

Imphal, April 27: Yumnam Khemchand, Chief Minister of Manipur, has reiterated that the state government remains committed to safeguarding the safety and welfare of every citizen while working to restore peace and stability amid the ongoing crisis in the state.

Chairing a meeting with NDA MLAs at the state Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the discussions focused on key governance and administrative issues, with an emphasis on coordinated and decisive action at all levels.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of the prolonged ethnic tensions that have affected several parts of Manipur since May 2023.

Khemchand stated that the government will continue efforts to ensure security, stability and development across the state, guided by the principles of people-centric governance.
