Shillong, April 27: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, has announced a free coaching programme for permanent resident youths to prepare for national-level competitive examinations such as SSC, RRB, NTPC, IBPS and CAT.

According to an official notice dated April 24, 2026, the initiative aims to equip local candidates with the necessary skills and guidance to perform better in upcoming recruitment examinations.
The programme is designed for final-year graduates and degree holders and will offer 100 seats, divided into two batches of 50 students each. The four-week intensive training will begin on May 6, 2026, with classes scheduled from Tuesday to Saturday.

The batch timings are 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for Batch 1 and 11:45 AM to 1:45 PM for Batch 2.
Interested candidates must first apply for SSC and other competitive examinations through the official portal and submit their acknowledgement receipt at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Room No. 314.
Officials said the last date for submission is May 4, 2026, and enrolment will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to eligibility criteria due to limited seats.
Applicants have also been advised to take note of key SSC Meghalaya recruitment dates, including the online application period from April 13 to May 4, 2026, with the computer-based examination tentatively scheduled for June 2026.
