Aizawl, April 27: Lalchhandami, a scholar of Mass Communication at Mizoram University, has been awarded the Zubaan Cultures of Peace Institutional Histories Documentation Fellowship 2026, marking a notable achievement in feminist research and academic writing.

She was selected through a competitive process that identifies emerging voices in feminist research, writing and critical inquiry across South Asia.
The Zubaan Fellowship supports young writers and researchers engaged in gender-sensitive work by providing mentorship, research resources and a platform to develop impactful projects. The programme is widely recognised for encouraging critical engagement with issues related to gender, society, culture and lived experiences.
