Imphal, April 28, 2026: CM Yumnam Khemchand inaugurated the Ebudhou Phunal Ningthou Telheiba Santhok, Ningthou Apanba Laishang (temple) at Sandrok Laibung Hall in Imphal East on Tuesday.

The ceremony was held in the presence of L. Rameshwor Meetei and other local leaders and community members.
On the occasion, prayers were offered for continued peace, stability, and well-being of the people of Manipur. The Chief Minister said the inauguration of the Shanglen reflects the enduring strength of the state’s spiritual and cultural traditions.

He noted that such sacred spaces play an important role in nurturing harmony, discipline, and positive values in society while guiding individuals toward unity and righteousness.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that Manipur’s indigenous religion and cultural heritage continue to shape the identity and collective spirit of the state, fostering trust, resilience, and togetherness among its people.
