Imphal, April 14: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand attended the Khalsa Sajna Diwas celebration held on the occasion of Baisakhi at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha on Tuesday.

The programme was held in the presence of MLA Kh. Joykishan Singh and members of the Sikh community, commemorating the historic formation of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister described the celebration as spiritually uplifting, noting that the devotional kirtans and collective prayers created an atmosphere of sanctity and reflection. He said such gatherings inspire renewed commitment towards peace, compassion and service to humanity.

Khemchand highlighted that Khalsa Sajna Diwas is a reminder of the core values of Sikhism - selfless service, equality, courage and justice. He also praised the Sikh community in Manipur for their meaningful contributions to the state’s social fabric and for upholding unity and service.
Extending greetings on the occasion of Baisakhi, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the festival’s blessings would bring peace, prosperity and continued development to Manipur and the nation.
