Meghalaya CM Conrad K. Sangma Reviews Key Transport and Urban Development Projects

Shillong, April 14: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma chaired a review meeting with officials of the Transport and Urban Departments to assess the progress of major infrastructure and connectivity initiatives across the state.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the proposed Shillong Business-cum-Tourism and Cultural Centre, a project aimed at boosting tourism and economic activities in the state capital.

The meeting also discussed the redevelopment of land belonging to the Meghalaya Transport Corporation in Tura, along with plans for developing Transport Department land and a bus depot at Nongpoh.

Officials further presented updates on plans to operationalise urban transport facilities and strengthen infrastructure to improve connectivity and urban services across Meghalaya.

The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of timely implementation of these projects, noting that improved transport infrastructure and urban development would play a crucial role in supporting economic growth and enhancing public services in the state.
