Imphal, April 18: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand on Saturday said the law and order situation in the state remains sensitive but under control, following a briefing by Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) at the Manipur Secretariat.

According to the minister, security forces are responding to disturbances with utmost care and restraint while closely monitoring the situation to maintain peace and stability across the state.
Khemchand also urged citizens to remain cautious of rumours and misinformation that could incite unrest, stressing the importance of responsible communication during the current situation.

He assured that the government is committed to ensuring justice and that appropriate action will be taken in due course while maintaining law and order.
Authorities have reiterated their appeal for public cooperation to prevent the spread of misinformation and to support efforts aimed at maintaining peace in the state.
