In a statement shared by Imphal Airport, the operator said the suspension will remain in effect until further notice, adding that updates regarding the resumption of services will be communicated in due course. The company also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to passengers.
The suspension comes at a time when helicopter services have been witnessing high demand due to the ongoing unrest, highway blockades, and shutdowns affecting road connectivity in Manipur.
Many residents, particularly from hill districts, have been relying on the heli service for urgent travel and emergency situations as road movement along the National Highways remains disrupted. The sudden halt in operations is expected to significantly impact travellers who depend on the service for quick access to Imphal and other areas.

Several passengers have reportedly faced difficulties in recent weeks due to limited seat availability, with some unable to secure bookings despite urgent needs.
With the temporary suspension now in place, concerns are growing over the availability of alternative travel options, especially for people from remote hill areas who depend on the helicopter service for essential travel.
