Imphal, April 21: Manipur Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly posting highly provocative and inflammatory content on social media that could disturb public order.

According to the police, a Facebook account titled “L. Ajit Singh” was found sharing posts containing threats and calls for violence. The content was considered capable of inciting unrest and disrupting communal harmony.
Following an investigation, the police identified and arrested Louriyam Ajitkumar Singh (29), a resident of Motbung Mamang Leikai, KPI, who is currently staying at Lamboi Khongnangkhong Relief Camp.
Police said the arrest was made in connection with the case and further investigation is currently underway.

Manipur Police also issued a warning stating that strict legal action will be taken against individuals who attempt to incite violence or spread content that could disturb peace and communal harmony in the state.
Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution while posting on social media and avoid sharing content that could provoke tension or unrest.
