Agartala, April 21: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Monday visited the residence of a BJP youth worker in Hezamara that was allegedly vandalised following the recent Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election results.

The house belongs to Dhiraj Debbarma, a youth worker of the BJP, whose residence was reportedly damaged by workers of the Tipra Motha Party after the announcement of the poll results.
During the visit, the Chief Minister met with Debbarma’s parents and assured them that the state government would take all necessary steps to restore the damaged house and provide full financial assistance to the family.

Saha also said that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the incident, adding that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
The incident comes amid heightened political tensions following the TTAADC election results in Tripura.
