Imphal, March 1, 2026: Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho was conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Imphal Theological College and Seminary during a simple yet solemn graduation ceremony held at Mao Baptist Church, Dewlahland, Imphal, on Sunday. The honour was bestowed in recognition of his contributions to social transformation, education, and the advancement of Christian ministry and community service in the state.

The honorary degree was presented by Dr. Telen Wilson Kom, President of Imphal Theological College and Seminary, who acknowledged Dikho's longstanding commitment to public service and his efforts in promoting educational development, social welfare, and the growth of the church. With the conferment of the degree, the Deputy Chief Minister was formally recognised as Dr. Losii Dikho.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kom said the honorary doctorate was awarded in appreciation of Dikho's leadership and his dedication to uplifting communities through service, while encouraging closer cooperation between faith-based institutions and society in promoting education and moral values.
The graduation ceremony also marked an important milestone for 15 students, who received their academic degrees after successfully completing their theological studies. Family members, church leaders, faculty, invited guests, and well-wishers attended the programme to celebrate the achievements of the graduates.

Accepting the honour, Dr. Losii Dikho expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the college authorities, faculty members, church leaders, and the congregation for the recognition bestowed upon him. He described the honorary doctorate as both a privilege and a responsibility, stating that it would inspire him to continue serving society with greater dedication, humility, and integrity.
He also acknowledged the support and prayers he has received throughout his public life and appealed for continued guidance and encouragement as he strives to contribute to the welfare of the people and the growth of the church and ministry.
The ceremony concluded with prayers, the presentation of degrees and certificates, and a message encouraging the graduates to uphold the values of faith, service, and leadership in their respective ministries and communities.
