The workshop brought together party functionaries, office-bearers, and representatives from various wings and morchas of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland. The programme forms part of a broader nationwide effort to prepare party workers through structured training and capacity-building exercises, with a focus on ideological orientation, organisational management, and grassroots engagement.

The inaugural session began with a solemn invocation led by Smt. Kashili Kiba, Vice President of the Mahila Morcha, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. Participants gathered to deliberate on strategies aimed at strengthening organisational effectiveness and preparing cadres for future responsibilities within the party framework.

Delivering the welcome address, Shri Sunep C. Jamir, State General Secretary and Convenor of the State Toli, greeted the participants and highlighted the importance of systematic training in building a strong and disciplined organisation. He noted that organisational growth depends not only on membership strength but also on the quality, commitment, and preparedness of its workers.

Jamir stressed that structured training programmes play a vital role in equipping cadres with the knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary to effectively communicate the party’s vision and engage with people at the grassroots level. He also underscored the need for unity, discipline, and teamwork in achieving organisational goals.

A felicitation ceremony was held during the programme to recognise individuals who have made notable contributions to the growth and development of the party. The ceremony was coordinated by Sushri Meribeni O. Patton, State Secretary of the ST Morcha. Distinguished members were honoured for their dedication, commitment, and service in advancing the party’s mission and strengthening its presence across the state.

One of the major highlights of the workshop was an address by Shri Hemant Goswami, National Toli Member (Operations and Data), who provided participants with an in-depth presentation on the objectives and implementation framework of the Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026.

Through a detailed overview, Goswami explained the vision behind the nationwide training campaign and outlined strategies aimed at improving organisational performance, strengthening leadership at all levels, and ensuring effective communication of the party’s ideology and programmes. He also shared practical insights into operational planning, data management, and coordinated action, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and accountability within the organisation.

Participants were introduced to key aspects of the training initiative, including methods for enhancing outreach, strengthening booth-level structures, and improving engagement with communities. The presentation also highlighted the role of technology and data-driven approaches in modern political organisation and public communication.

Party leaders stated that the workshop is expected to play a crucial role in preparing Nagaland’s cadres for the larger nationwide training programme that will be rolled out in the coming months. The initiative aims to create a well-informed, disciplined, and service-oriented cadre base capable of effectively contributing to organisational growth and public service.

Officials noted that the Prashikshan Mahabhiyan is inspired by the ideals and philosophy of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, whose concept of Integral Humanism continues to influence the party’s approach to governance and development. The training programme seeks to instill these values while equipping workers with practical skills needed for organisational and community engagement.

The workshop concluded with participants expressing optimism that the training initiative would strengthen organisational capacity, improve coordination among party units, and prepare cadres to play a more active role in addressing public concerns and promoting development-oriented initiatives across Nagaland.

With the launch of the state-level workshop, Nagaland has formally joined the nationwide effort to build a stronger, more efficient, and better-prepared cadre network under the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026.
