NACWC Chairperson Concludes Sikkim Visit, Stresses Citizen-Centric Reforms

Gangtok, February 13: Roli Singh, Chairperson of the National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, concluded her official visit to Sikkim on Thursday.

During her stay in Gangtok, the Chairperson held review meetings with senior officers of the Government of Sikkim in connection with the Deregulation and Compliance Reduction exercise. She underscored the importance of meaningful and measurable governance reforms, enhanced inter-departmental coordination, and citizen-centric simplification of procedures to improve service delivery and strengthen ease of doing business.

Roli Singh urged officials to adopt a long-term vision while designing policies and processes, keeping in mind the aspirations of future entrepreneurs, professionals, and citizens.

The review meetings were also attended by Kuldeep Kumar, Assistant Director at the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), who accompanied the Chairperson during the visit.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Government of India to streamline regulatory frameworks and promote efficient governance across states.
