Aizawl, February 3: The Mizo Language Development Board (MLDB), under its chairman’s leadership, on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LushAI Technologies & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. to work jointly towards improving and strengthening the Mizo language on Google Translate.
The agreement aims to address shortcomings in the current Mizo translations available on Google Translate and to enhance accuracy, quality and overall language development. Under the collaboration, both MLDB and LushAI Technologies will work on refining translations, strengthening linguistic standards and reviewing areas that require improvement to better reflect authentic Mizo usage.
Speaking on the occasion, MLDB Chairman Pu R. Lallianzuala highlighted the importance of leveraging technology for the preservation and promotion of the Mizo language, particularly for younger generations and digital users. He said the initiative would help make Mizo more accessible and reliable on global digital platforms.

During the programme, Pu R. Lallianzuala also launched the LushAI-Chat Application, developed by LushAI Technologies & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. The application is available for download at chat.lushaitech.com and can be accessed on both mobile phones and computers.
The LushAI-Chat application functions as a Mizo-language version of ChatGPT and is expected to make information-seeking and digital interaction easier for users who prefer to communicate in Mizo. The initiative is seen as a significant step towards the digital empowerment of the Mizo language and its wider adoption in emerging technologies.
