By taking services directly to villages, the programme seeks to reduce the difficulties faced by residents who often have to travel long distances to access government offices and welfare schemes.
The event was chaired by Village Council President Pu Lalmawizuala, who welcomed the officials and expressed appreciation to the participating departments for extending their services to people at the grassroots level. He noted that such outreach programmes are highly beneficial for rural residents, particularly the elderly, women, and economically disadvantaged sections of society.

She noted that the programme has been instrumental in improving access to public services and increasing awareness about government schemes among rural communities.
Several government departments and agencies participated in the outreach programme by setting up dedicated service stalls. These included the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Block Development Office, Health & Family Welfare Department, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Power & Electricity Department, Land Revenue & Settlement Department, and Mizoram Rural Bank.
