New Delhi, February 23, 2026: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh called on senior Union Ministers and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in New Delhi to discuss key issues concerning the State’s security, financial stability, and development priorities.

The Chief Minister met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Shri L. Dikho. During the meeting, they discussed the prevailing security scenario in Manipur. The Defence Minister assured that the safety and security of the State remain a top priority for the Government of India and extended full support to ensure a peaceful and secure environment.
The Chief Minister also met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Smt. Nemcha Kipgen and Shri L. Dikho. The discussions focused on financial matters and the State’s broader development agenda. He highlighted the need for enhanced financial assistance to strengthen ongoing developmental initiatives and accelerate inclusive growth. The Finance Minister assured positive consideration of the proposals and discussed measures to ensure sustainable fiscal stability for Manipur.

In addition, the Chief Minister called on BJP leader Nitin Nabin at the party’s national office. The meeting focused on the prevailing law and order situation in Manipur and coordinated measures required to restore lasting peace and public confidence. They also deliberated on strengthening the party’s organisational structure in the State.
The meetings reaffirmed the Centre’s continued support for Manipur’s security, stability, and development.
