In a post shared on social media, the Chief Minister said that indigenous faith traditions survive when they are nurtured through documentation, cultural transmission, and given rightful academic and societal space. He emphasised that the government is actively working to safeguard Arunachal Pradesh’s rich spiritual heritage by strengthening institutions that enable structured learning and intergenerational transfer of knowledge.
Mr. Khandu made these remarks while inaugurating the Donyi Polo Cultural Centre–cum–Kargu Gamgi at Modirijo in Itanagar. The newly inaugurated centre is envisioned as a dedicated space for the practice, study, and preservation of the Donyi Polo faith, which is central to the cultural identity of many indigenous communities in the state.
