Gasain Dimasa, identifying himself as the self-styled Information and Publicity Secretary of the group, informed NAH that the organisation has reunited with renewed commitment. In his communication, he stated that the move is aimed at strengthening unity among members and pursuing its declared objectives of safeguarding the rights, identity and aspirations of the Dimasa community.

The DNLT had earlier surfaced with claims related to Dimasa interests in parts of Assam, though its activities and structure have remained largely unclear in the public domain.
