New Delhi, February 6: A delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland, led by State General Secretary Sunep C. Jamir and State Secretary P. M. Ghosh, participated in the National Workshop on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan 2026, held at the Extension Party Office in New Delhi.
The workshop brought together party leaders, office-bearers, and representatives from different states across the country with the objective of strengthening organisational capacity, leadership skills, and ideological understanding among BJP functionaries. The programme formed part of the party’s ongoing efforts to build a well-trained and ideologically grounded cadre capable of effectively engaging with citizens and contributing to nation-building initiatives.
The training programme was centred on the philosophy and teachings of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, one of the principal ideologues of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and a key influence on the BJP’s ideological framework. Discussions focused on his doctrine of Integral Humanism, which advocates balanced development that addresses the economic, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of individuals while ensuring harmony between society and the state.
According to party leaders, the workshop sought to enhance ideological clarity among participants and provide them with practical tools for organisational management, grassroots mobilisation, and public outreach. Various sessions examined ways to strengthen party structures at the booth and district levels, improve communication with citizens, and ensure more effective implementation of welfare and development programmes.
The programme also emphasised the importance of leadership development and disciplined organisational functioning. Speakers highlighted the need for political workers to remain connected to grassroots realities, understand the aspirations of the people, and work towards addressing local issues through constructive engagement and public service.
Party representatives stated that the training initiative aligns with the broader vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Viksit Bharat mission, which aims to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. Participants were encouraged to contribute actively towards this national objective by promoting inclusive development, strengthening democratic institutions, and ensuring efficient delivery of government schemes and services.
The workshop featured interactive sessions, lectures, and discussions on governance, policy implementation, organisational discipline, and leadership responsibilities. Participants were also briefed on strategies to strengthen public trust, encourage citizen participation, and improve the effectiveness of party outreach programmes at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the significance of the event, party leaders noted that such training programmes are essential for developing capable leaders who can effectively communicate government policies and respond to the needs and concerns of the public. They emphasised that ideological training and organisational development remain critical components of the BJP’s approach to political and social engagement.

The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment among participants to work towards strengthening organisational structures and advancing the vision of inclusive growth and national development.
