Aizawl, February 6: Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma on Thursday held a meeting with members of the State Day of Prayer Committee at his office in Aizawl to review preparations for the observance of the State Day of Prayer this year.

During the meeting, Chairman of the State Day of Prayer Committee Rev. Lalramliana Pachuau said the committee was honoured to have the Chief Minister as its patron. Working Committee Chairman Pu F. Rodingliana briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations and activities planned for the occasion.
According to the committee, last year’s State Day of Prayer was observed in 108 localities across Mizoram, with participation also reported from four locations outside the state. This year, the committee plans to extend the observance to all localities across Mizoram by issuing formal communication to ensure widespread participation.

The committee also clarified that the State Day of Prayer is neither a political initiative nor affiliated with any political party, but a collective, state-wide observance intended to bring people together in prayer for the welfare of the state.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the committee and encouraged inclusive participation, underscoring the importance of unity and collective responsibility in such observances.
