The briefing was part of the party's nationwide outreach initiative aimed at disseminating information about the Union Budget and highlighting its potential impact on economic growth, development, and nation-building. Addressing journalists, the minister described the Union Budget 2026 as a forward-looking and growth-oriented financial roadmap rooted in India's strong economic fundamentals. He stated that the budget seeks to build on the country's recent economic achievements while creating new opportunities for investment, innovation, and employment generation.

According to Zhimomi, the budget reflects the confidence of the central government in India's economic trajectory and is designed to position the country as a leading global destination for investment and business. He noted that the government's focus on infrastructure development, technological advancement, and industrial expansion would help strengthen India's competitiveness in the global economy.

Highlighting some of the key sectors prioritised in the budget, Zhimomi pointed to artificial intelligence (AI), tourism, manufacturing, sports, and innovation-driven industries as areas expected to drive future growth. He said investments in these sectors would not only enhance economic productivity but also create new employment opportunities, particularly for young people.

The minister emphasised that the budget places youth, farmers, and women at the centre of the development agenda. He noted that several provisions and policy measures are aimed at empowering these groups through improved access to opportunities, skills, entrepreneurship, and financial support. According to him, this approach reflects the government's commitment to inclusive and equitable growth.

Referring to flagship national initiatives such as Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, Zhimomi said the budget reinforces the vision of building a self-reliant India capable of competing effectively in global markets. He stated that these programmes have already contributed significantly to strengthening domestic manufacturing, encouraging innovation, and reducing dependence on imports.

Describing the budget as a catalyst for achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047, the minister said it lays a strong foundation for sustained economic progress over the coming decades. He asserted that strategic investments in infrastructure, digital technology, education, healthcare, and human resource development would help accelerate India's transformation into a developed nation.

Zhimomi characterised the budget as a "Reform Express," saying it demonstrates the Narendra Modi-led government's continued commitment to reforms, development, and inclusive growth. He argued that the policy measures announced in the budget would maintain economic momentum and help the country navigate future challenges while unlocking new opportunities.
