Itanagar, February 23, 2026: In a significant move toward strengthening governance and improving public administration, the Arunachal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) has submitted its preliminary report to Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

The report was formally presented on Monday by the Commission under the leadership of its Chairman, Shri Pramod Jain, IAS. The submission marks an important milestone in the state government’s ongoing efforts to modernize administrative systems, enhance transparency, and improve service delivery for citizens across Arunachal Pradesh.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress made by the Commission, Chief Minister Khandu described the report as a crucial step in the journey toward building a more efficient, accountable, and responsive governance framework. He noted that the recommendations of the ARC are expected to provide valuable insights into streamlining administrative processes and addressing challenges faced by various government departments.

Khandu emphasized that administrative reforms are not merely about restructuring systems but about ensuring that governance becomes more people-centric and accessible. According to him, the state government is committed to introducing reforms that reflect the aspirations and unique requirements of the people of Arunachal Pradesh while adapting to emerging governance needs.

The Chief Minister further stated that improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability remains a key priority of his government. He expressed confidence that the Commission’s recommendations would contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of public services and strengthening institutional mechanisms within the state administration.

Welcoming the preliminary report, Khandu said the government looks forward to meaningful discussions on the recommendations put forward by the Commission. The Arunachal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission was constituted to review existing administrative practices and recommend measures aimed at improving governance, public service delivery, and overall administrative efficiency in the state.
