Itanagar, February 23, 2026: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu virtually inaugurated the Entrepreneurship Development Institute at Jote, marking a significant step toward strengthening entrepreneurial culture among the state’s youth.

The new institute aims to promote innovation, skill development, and enterprise creation, particularly among aspiring entrepreneurs and MSMEs in the region.
The programme featured experience-sharing sessions by beneficiaries of key central government initiatives, including the National SC-ST Hub, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme. Participants highlighted how these schemes have helped transform their aspirations into successful business ventures.

During the event, outstanding entrepreneurs who have excelled under these initiatives were felicitated for their achievements.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasised that empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is crucial to building a self-reliant and “Viksit Bharat.” He noted that fostering entrepreneurship among youth will play a key role in driving sustainable economic growth in Arunachal Pradesh.
