Shillong, February 23, 2026: Shillong-based Mama’s Cafe has been honoured with the title of “Best Casual Dining Cafe in Shillong” at the Global Culinary & Hospitality Excellency Awards 2026. The prestigious ceremony was held on February 18 at the Holiday Inn, Mumbai.

The award was presented by internationally acclaimed chef Vikas Khanna during a grand event organised by Merit Awards and Market Research Pvt. Ltd., recognising excellence in India’s culinary and hospitality sector.
Founded by Mrs. Eva Kurbah, Mama’s Cafe is a well-known multi-cuisine restaurant located at Dreamland Arcade, Police Bazar, Shillong. Over the years, it has earned a loyal customer base and emerged as a popular dining destination for families, young patrons, and tourists visiting the city.
