According to an official press release issued on January 29, a State Level Committee headed by the Chief Secretary, with senior officials including the Commissioner (Home), Director General of Police and other top officers as members, has been constituted to monitor the rehabilitation process. District-level committees under respective District Magistrates have also been formed and are conducting regular reviews.
The government stated that its primary objective is not merely the relocation of IDPs from relief camps, but a holistic rehabilitation process aimed at restoring stable living conditions, livelihoods, education, and overall well-being. Emphasis has been laid on a gradual and secure transition back to normal community life.
As per official data, by December 2025, more than 2,200 families comprising around 10,000 IDPs had been resettled. To further accelerate the process, approximately 7,000 houses have been sanctioned under the Special PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin) scheme for the reconstruction of fully damaged homes, with construction at various stages of completion.
