Aizawl, Jan 31, 2026: Mizoram Revenue Minister B. Lalchhanzova on Friday said that the process of handing over land at Lengpui and Sihphir to the Indian Air Force is currently with the Aizawl Deputy Commissioner and is being carried out strictly in accordance with the law.

Addressing a press conference at the Aizawl Press Club, Lalchhanzova, who is also Chairman of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) Party Media Cell, said the party has demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the matter to ensure transparency and accountability.
He stated that the public has a right to know the truth and urged that a First Information Report (FIR) be Addressing a press conference at the Aizawl Press Club, Lalchhanzova, who is also Chairman of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) Party Media Cell, said the party has demanded that former Revenue Minister Lalruatkima and Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, Senior Vice President of the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), should file an FIR so that the matter can be properly investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
He stated that the public has the right to know the truth and emphasised that a CBI probe would help bring clarity and transparency to the issue.

Lalchhanzova asserted that the ZPM-led government has a clear conscience on the issue and maintained that there is nothing to hide. He said that if any wrongdoing is established, the party would not hesitate to face consequences, adding that even as Revenue Minister, he is prepared to step down if found at fault.
The Minister also clarified that the issue should not be reduced to political mudslinging, stressing that the ZPM wants the matter resolved through due process and credible investigation in the larger public interest.
