In his address at the inauguration of the Oil Palm Link Road, the Chief Minister said oil palm cultivation is being given high priority at the national level, with the Prime Minister and the Union Minister for DoNER repeatedly emphasising its importance. He said the state government is making concerted efforts to advance the sector and assured that more link roads would be constructed to improve connectivity for oil palm growers.

The newly inaugurated link road, built with concrete pavement, is two kilometres long and was constructed at a cost of ₹110 lakh. The Chief Minister said eight families in the area have already established mature oil palm plantations and earned around ₹45 lakh from sales last year, while another 15 families are currently developing new plantations.

At the inauguration of the Godrej Agrovet One Stop Solution, Lalduhoma recalled that during a meeting with Rakesh Swamy in Mumbai on July 13, 2024, he had requested the establishment of Samadhan Centres in Mizoram. He said discussions had covered not only oil palm, but also sapthei processing, animal feed production, large-scale piggery units, and value-added products such as soap and glycerin. He expressed appreciation that Godrej Agrovet Limited had responded positively by setting up Samadhan Centres at Bukvannei and Bawngvaa.

Godrej Agrovet has been working with the Mizoram government and oil palm farmers since 2005, primarily in Kolasib and Mamit districts. The company established an oil palm mill in 2014 with a processing capacity of 50 quintals (5 MT) per hour, though supply has yet to reach full capacity. The One Stop Solution centre is expected to help farmers increase production and profitability.

Senior Executive of Godrej Agrovet Limited Lalruatkima said the One Stop Solution will provide oil palm farmers with access to fertilisers, pesticides, insecticides, irrigation equipment and other essential inputs at affordable rates. Fertilisers will be sold at MRP, and the centre will also function as a training hub for farmers and officials. He added that infrastructure would be expanded in line with the growth of oil palm cultivation in the state.

Godrej Agrovet has so far procured oil palm worth approximately ₹54 crore from Mizoram. During the current 2025–26 financial year, up to December, the company procured 5,807 tonnes, spending about ₹9.57 crore.

The programme was attended by P. C. Vanlalruata, Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare; Deputy Speaker Lalfamkima; MLA and Adviser to the Chief Minister Lalmuanpuia Punte, along with senior government officials.
