Itanagar, Jan 27: Members of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), led by Chairman Pradip Lingfa, called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday, during which the Commission’s efforts to ensure transparent and merit-based recruitment processes were widely appreciated.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister congratulated the APPSC team on being conferred the Gold Medal, an honour announced on the occasion of Republic Day. He described the recognition as a reflection of the Commission’s commitment to integrity, professionalism, and excellence in conducting public service recruitments in the state.
Khandu commended the APPSC for carrying out recruitment examinations and selection processes in a free, fair, and transparent manner. He noted that the Commission has consistently adhered to established standard operating procedures and timelines, ensuring that recruitment exercises are conducted efficiently and without undue delays.
The Chief Minister said the Commission’s recent efforts have played a crucial role in restoring public trust, particularly among the youth of Arunachal Pradesh. He observed that transparent recruitment systems are essential for building confidence in public institutions and ensuring equal opportunities for deserving candidates.
According to Khandu, the APPSC’s commitment to merit-based selection has reinforced the principle that talent, hard work, and capability should remain the sole criteria for entry into government service. He added that such an approach contributes significantly to strengthening governance and improving the quality of public administration in the state.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister also assured the Commission of the state government’s full support in addressing pending issues and challenges faced by the institution. He emphasized the need to further strengthen the Commission’s capacity, efficiency, and institutional framework so that it can continue to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
