Imphal, Jan 27: The Government of Manipur has extended its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alliance Air Aviation Limited to enhance air connectivity in the state under the Viable Gap Funding (VGF) scheme.

Under the renewed agreement, Alliance Air will continue operating regular flights connecting Imphal with Dimapur, Guwahati, and Kolkata, improving access to major regional and national hubs.
Officials said the continuation of these routes is aimed at strengthening regional connectivity and facilitating smoother and more reliable air travel for the people of Manipur. The services are expected to benefit passengers by improving mobility, supporting economic activity, and enhancing access to healthcare, education, and business opportunities.

The state government reiterated its commitment to improving transport infrastructure and ensuring better access to air travel for residents of Manipur, particularly in view of the state’s geographical challenges and strategic importance in the Northeast region.
